Got this off eBay for around $40 including shipping. This insulator was found in Moldova which borders on Romania to the West (Carpathian mountains) and Ukraine to the North, East & South. The Black Sea is to the Southeast. CD 445's have been found in the Carpathian mountain region of Romania and near the Black Sea...I don't know if any CD 445 have been found in Moldova. The CD 304.5 has Russian (Cyrillic/Latin) embossing - I have no idea where it was produced and where they were typically used. It has a non standard pin hole. I think it's a pretty rare and spectacular piece of glass - these can be found on eBay from time to time for less than $50 total price including shipping. Amazingly, they seldom get any bids. I felt sorry for this one and decided to give it a home...making it my second CD 304.5 from Moldova.
