The newbies need help (again)

We picked this up at an antique store yesterday, and tried to identify the CD when we got home, but we can't seem to get it. The dimensions are 2 1/4 across the base, and 3 5/8 tall. The upper wire rim is wider than the bottom one, and it is 2 1/2 (the bottom is 2 1/4). It is embossed: (F-Skirt) HEMINGRAY / No 9 (underlined "o") (R-Skirt) PATENT / MAY 2 1893 SDP. Obviously, it matches a CD 106, but the dimensions are not the same. Help, help, help...
