Anybody else ever seen this insulator on the right? At left is a typical early series unit with the tiny stamp-type lettering and no production code. The insulator on left identically matches the dimensions given for a CD 111, but has the characteristic lower wire groove flare of a CD 128 that the 111 does not have. Pyrex looks to be embossed in the typical 1/2" (approx.) tall letters, while below and on back the letters are the smallest I have ever seen on a Pyrex - about 1/8". Front reads: REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. Back reads: MADE IN U.S.A. Probably the only 128 Pyrex known with solid dome glass! |
