Interesting to compare. Clear Brookfields are not exactly the norm, but then neither are purples! Both of these units were dug from outhouse pits. One might have thought the clear one was due to being buried all those years, but the purple one suggests that this would have no effect, and that the clear one is just simply clear due to chemical content, or lack thereof.
