A glass "Johnny Ball" still in service... sort of. The wires are long gone. This picture was taken in Bodie, Ca. in May 2003! Bodie is well worth visiting, it's a preserved ghost town open to the public as a park. The rangers guard it zealously, so many of the goodies are still there to be seen. Lots of glass, and even porcelain down by the substation...
