I've had this thing for a few years. It has no threads and is completely hollow inside. It definitely wasn't made to deceive anyone into thinking it is real. I'm curious to know who made them up and why. Appears as if it was supposed to be a bell or a ornament of some kind. Looks good hanging on the tree at X-Mas! :-)
