I thought I had an original idea but Pat Scott said that he had seen a photo of a similar set in a magazine from several years ago. It is still a nice blend of two interests. The chess board is made of 6 inch by 6 inch marble squares supported by stainless steel legs. Future plans include replacing the legs with station post insulators and elevating the individual pieces with wood pins and crossarm chunks.
