This crude insulator is an early Brookfield variant (note small o in "Co," with handwritten lettering. The cold mold swirl marks and large bubble add extra character to the nice light amber swirling. This also has faint reverse skirt blotted out embossing slug marks and 6 horizontal lines with tiny dots in the center of each line, except for the first line. The color is probably an unlisted variant EIN (130).

Are the dots remnants of the original AM. TEL. & TEL. Co. embossing? If so, why is there an extra dot? If they aren't then how do we know this was an AMTEL&TEL embossing that was blotted out? Anyone else have this variant and/or can explain the dots? Perhaps they are just part of the slug marks?

The best explanation I've heard is this was made in a C.D.P. TELCO blot-out mold.
