A CD 131.4 Dec. 19 1871 Patent in Rich Purple stood guard over the study of mould varieties being done by Hemingray specialist. There were many seldom seen rarities at Springfield. Some of the pieces seen were a Hemingray CD 169 type 1, Gregory CD 159, Deep Green Tillotson 740, CD 737 Tillotson, and mouth watering Green Bullets.
