This railroad's 660v DC electrification consisted of a steam-powered generating station in Yonkers distributing power over 25 cycle lines such as this along the tracks to substations consisting of rotary converters & transformers supplying current to the third rail. System was originally put in 1907. Older insulators are M-3070.
