This is the somewhat desirable no lower wire groove lip variant of the CD 127. The neat thing about this one is that the threading, which is very smooth and slightly offset (kind of like you sometimes see on EC&Ms) stops at the wire groove providing SOLID DOME GLASS in this insulator. The insulator is a crude but clear light aqua with some thin 1/4 to 3/4 inch elongated fish shaped bubbles "schooling up" in the lower skirt. There are a few rust spots in the wire groove which should clean up. The base has some not bad shallow flaking here and there that is not that noticeable unless you pick the thing up and turn it over. The mold variant, the dome glass and the crude threading and bubbles make this one a neat piece! The embossing, which is not really that weak but kind of hard to read, is (Front) W BROOKFIELD 55 FULTON ST (Back) PAT APRIL 4 1871 as nearly as I can tell. Price $70 POSTPAID First e-mail to respond gets the piece.
